Products of the Controlling a Stage ProcessNo work on the project's deliverables is done in Controlling a Stage - it's all done in Managing Product Delivery. One of the tasks of the Project Manager in Controlling a Stage is to ensure that the work is properly authorised. This is done by passing a Work Package to the manager, maybe a Team Leader or external subcontractor, responsible for carrying out the work and delivering the completed product back to the project manager. The Work Package will vary in content and formality according to the circumstances, but it should describe the complete relationship between the project manager and the manager responsible for delivery of the product, the detailed responsibilities of the supplier and of course should include the Product Desccription of the deliverable to be provided. Additionally, the Work Package should be associated with a detailed team level plan which is agreed with the Project Manager. |
