Products of the Planning ProcessThe role of the Managing Stage Boundaries process is to ensure that the transition from one stage of the project to the next is properly controlled. At this time, a detailed plan must be produced for the next planned stage of the project which must be approved by the Project Board before that stage can begin. Two types of plan can be produced at this point: - a 'normal' plan for the next stage, produced when everything's going okay, and the previous stage has completed successfully - an 'exception' plan for recovery from an exception situation during a stage, for example an overspend which exceeds pre-defined tolerance. Detailed plans for a stage must also include the plans for Quality Control of the products to be produced in that stage. |
