Products of the Planning ProcessDuring Initiating a Project, the project plan must be produced. This plan must provide sufficient information to the Project Board for them to decide whether to proceed with project, and must therefore include information on - the products to be produced - the major activities necessary - an assessment of the risks associated with the plan - effort and duration estimates - key milestones - the schedule and costs - the key decision and review points. The Planning process is used to produce this plan, which will probably be produced at two levels, described in the Plans component, and which will cover at least one Stage of the project. |
