Transition to Closing  a Project Occasionally, there won't be any stages to plan because the project is coming to an end, so it's time to close the project down (properly!)..... This will happen as a result of: - a trigger for premature close from the Project Board, perhaps because of an unrecoverable exception, or an unviable business case. - notification of project end as a result of the continuing stage status review by the project manager in Controlling a Stage (in other words, the PM's figured out that there's nothing left to do!) <<< Back
